She has experience supporting clients with concerns such as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, grief, disordered eating, and difficulties related to identity, relationships, and life transitions. Cheyla understands that these stages of life can feel overwhelming and, at times, isolating. She believes that healing begins with feeling seen, heard, and understood.
Cheyla is deeply committed to creating a therapeutic environment that is safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental. She strives to build genuine, trusting relationships with her clients, recognizing that a strong therapeutic connection is the foundation for meaningful change. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs and experiences.
Cheyla utilizes evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Adlerian theory, while primarily working from an Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) perspective. She is passionate about helping clients deepen their emotional awareness, process difficult experiences, and develop healthier ways of coping and relating to themselves and others. Through this work, Cheyla aims to empower her clients to move toward greater self-understanding, resilience, and overall well-being.
